AA is a program of attraction but that doesn’t mean we can’t make information available so that people in need can find out a little more about the program of Alcoholics Anonymous and where they can find help. The purpose of this committee is to carry that message to the alcoholic who still suffers; however reaching the alcoholic indirectly is an important component of the committee..
We carry the message of AA in Area 11 (CT):
• Give presentations at local libraries, universities, and workplaces
• Distribute media and literature in form of pamphlets/racks, and books
• Run info booths at live events, conferences, and conventions (in and out of AA)
• Run outdoor and digital media campaigns to inform the public of what AA is, and is not.
How you can help:
• Work within your district to carry this message through the activities above, in your area
• Help ideate on new and creative ways to inform the public in an increasing online world
• Act as a champion to help enthuse the message of service in your district!
Become a volunteer and represent your district on the public information committee. Help us carry the message into your community. You can sign up here for more information.
